The establishment of State Police will bring total doom to this country -Amb.Okoro

Insecurity is one of Nigeria’s greatest nightmare at the moment,a lot of lives have been exterminated, companies and individuals have lost extremely through the payment of ransom to these criminals,yet the Nigerian nation is yet to proffer any meaningful solution to this lingering menace, some have recommended the establishment of State Police as a meaningful way of dealing with the threat.

The Director General of Importers Association of Nigeria Taskforce, IMAN,Amb.Chijioke Okoro has warned the government not to establish the State Police because it would bring total doom to the nation.Amb.Okoro made this statement while addressing newsmen today in Lagos “Anyone recommending State Policing as a way of combating insecurity does not love Nigeria, infact the person wants this nation to collapse, establishment of State Policing will bring total doom to this country, Nigeria is not matured for that yet because they will be used as instrument for oppression and victimisation”.

“Nigeria is a distinct country with peculiar attributes, State Policing should never be considered as a means of checkmating insecurity because it would rather compound the woos of the nation” he stressed
