Tears, Appeals From Worshippers At St. Patrick’s Anglican Church, Isu-Aniocha

There were tears and appeals from worshippers at St. Patrick’s Anglican Church Isu-Aniocha when the first rains of the year submerged the church compound threatening lives and property.

According to the Priest in charge of the parish, Rev’d Basil Nwabichili it’s unbelievable the level of flood going through the compound annually.

He appealed for intervention for the construction of flood channels to ensure the flood plain is channeled off the St Patrick’s compound.

He lamented that for years the church has been unnder siege whenever it rains as it has deprived them severely freedom of worship whenever it rains.
His assistant, Reverend Ifeanyi Ikenna Chioke the flood menace in the Parish headquarters is beyond the parish even as he called for help from public spirited individuals , Awka North local government area and the Anambra State government.

They appeal for help from all quarters to save the church from collapse and worshippers from imminent danger of flood.
