Taraba Assembly Receives Three Executive Bills from Governor Kefas

The Taraba State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, received three key executive communications from Governor Agbu Kefas. These communications introduced important bills aimed at enhancing governance and infrastructure within the state. The proposed bills include: the Taraba State Mortgage and Property Board (Establishment) Bill 2025, the Taraba State Transport and Safety Administration Modification Law (Establishment) Bill 2025, and a bill to amend the Advance Teachers College Law Jalingo Law Cap 5 of Taraba State 1997. The first bill proposes the creation of a Mortgage and Property Board to regulate property and mortgage management in the state. The second bill seeks to modify the state’s Transport and Safety Administration framework to improve safety and regulatory oversight. The third bill aims to amend the law governing the Advance Teachers College in Jalingo to better align with current educational standards. The assembly members expressed their commitment to reviewing the bills thoroughly, including committee evaluations and stakeholder consultations, to ensure they address the state’s developmental needs.
