Sunday Nnakwe weds hearthrob, Miss Ebere Osigwe amidst pomp and ceremony

It was all joy weekend in Unubi, Nnewi, as Ebere Osigwe and Sunday Nnakwe were joined in holy matrimony.

The wedding took place on Friday at St Andrew’s Anglican church, Unubi in Nnewi South Local Government Area, Anambra State and officiated by Revd Canon Chidi Enemuo.

www.odogwublog.com reports that the couple’s traditional marriage ceremony held on Thursday April 13, 2013 at the compound of the bride’s father, Mr Japhet Osigwe, and was greeted with heavy presence of family, friends and well wishers who trooped into the town to celebrate with the new couple.

Speaking during the event, Mr Osigwe, the Bride’s father, expressed heartfelt thanks to God for keeping him alive to witness the event. He also prayed Almighty to sustain the marriage and bless the couple immensely to enjoy a happy union.

Mr Jideofor Obiadazie, an uncle to the bride from the maternal side, described the bride as a good natured lady that grew under his tutelage, noting that the groom was lucky to have her as a wife. He advised the couple to live as husband and wife and not let third party into their marriage.

On her own, the mother of the bride, Mrs Rachel Osigwe said she is extremely grateful to God for being with her throughout the preparatory process, thus making the event a success. She said” I feel really happy and fulfilled today as my daughter is getting married, it is a thing of joy and I pray God for more of it.” She blessed the couple and wished them a successful married life.

In the same vein, Chukwuemeka Nnakwe, the brother to the groom said the marriage is already blessed. He prayed for the abundance of God’s blessings on the couple and wished them all the very best.

In an interview with www.odogwublog.com, the couple vowed that they will not let any third party into their marriage prayed God to join them on their journey into a joy and peace-filled marriage.

The event climaxed with Idu Obi,” a stage where the parent of the bride bring out all items purchased for the bride to move into her new home including kitchen utensils, hen, goats, pots, water drums, mortar and pestle etc. It also witnessed the pouring of blessing on the couple by the parents.

The couple hail from the same village the same Etitinabo village in Unubi Nnewi South, Anambra State.
