Suarez determines to depart ATM, reunite with Messi at new club
Atletico Madrid striker, Luis Suarez, has determined to depart the club when his contract finishes off at the end of the season, El Nacional reports.
Suarez is open to making the move to the Major League Soccer, MLS, with Inter Miami eager to sign him.
The reports added that the former Liverpool star hopes that Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi will follow him to the United States.
The Uruguay international is a close friend of Messi and the pair were teammates during their time at Barcelona.
Messi recently said he wants to play in the United States of America in the near future.
At one point, it seemed Messi would spend his entire career at Barcelona, but the Argentine left the Nou Camp in a shock transfer to PSG in France.
Messi’s contract with PSG will expire in the summer of 2023.
However, it seems the seven-time Ballon d’ Or winner is already planning ahead for his next move.
“I always have had the illusion of being able to enjoy and live the experience of living in the United States, of finding out how that league is, what life is like there,” Messi had said.
