Student Community Voters endorse Obi for VP

Students in the South East under the aegis of Student Community Voters (SCV) South East yesterday endorsed the nomination of former Governor Peter Obi as the running mate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The students while commending Atiku for nominating Peter Obi as his running mate said Obi is eminently qualified and has the solidarity of youths across the nation particularly the students who he has won their hearts.

The statement was signed by Right Hon Ezeukwu Christopher Formula , Chairman Student Community Voters , SCV and Speaker, Students Representative Council (SRC) , Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka , Anambra state and Comrade Chimezie Fortunatus Izuchukwu, Secretary Student Community Voters and President Students Union Government University of Nigeria, Nsukka , Enugu State.

The statement read in part: ‘’Arising from our meeting on 15th October, 2018 at the King David’s hotel Awka , Anambra state on the emergence of His Excellency Chief Peter Obi , the former Governor of Anambra state as the chosen Vice Presidential candidate to His Excellency , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

We the Student Community Voters (SCV) ,South East zone formarly congratulate Chief  Peter Obi,  ‘The Rock’ , ‘Okwute Ndigbo’ on his new position as the Vice Presidential candidate of PDP in the 2019 Presidential election.

‘’In the same vein, we laud the exercise, the leadership and members for their political sagacity on the choice of Peter Obi, a resourceful personality.

Chief Peter Obi’s leadership qualities has endeared him to many particularly, the voting youth population , students inclusive across Nigeria. Obi’s managerial skill is not in doubt as he is an expert in fund and human management.

‘’ He is as well a public friendly politician whose humility in and out of office was rated awesome.  Obi has so many things to offer Nigeria , and at the same time he is energetic, charismatic, dynamic, amiable , transparent, accountable , fair, credible and a trusted man of the people. These and many more are reasons why the character and personality of the man called Peter Obi stood him out as the VP for Nigeria to be greater. Be assured of our bloc votes in South East and Nigeria at large.

‘’The Student Community Voters (SCV) South East has so much to say about Chief Peter Obi’ 8 years in office as Executive Governor of Anambra state and beyond but we cannot continue, as the best thing we can do is to galvanize our bloc vote for Atiku Ababukar and Peter Obi election victory.

‘’The National recovery project bestowed on Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi has our overwhelming support. This we promise with every sense of patriotism.

The statement concluded: “Once again, we say a very big congratulations to Chief Peter Obi as victory awaits him, a landslide victory indeed. God bless you, the awaiting Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
