The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has warned of potential industrial action over the Federal Government’s failure to pay two months’ withheld 2022 strike salaries and address other unresolved issues. Following its NEC meeting in Kano, SSANU demanded salary harmonisation, renegotiation of the 2009 agreement, and a fairer share of earned allowances. The union also decried rising insecurity and economic hardship, urging urgent government action to avoid further crisis.
