Soludo Used Election Process To Stop Killings, Sponsored Crises In Uga – Rights group

A human rights group, Uga Democratic Vanguard, (UDV), on Tuesday, disclosed that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, of Anambra State, used the conduct of the election to stop alleged killings, assault, embarrassment and sponsored crises in the Uga community, Aguata Local Government Area.
The UDV chairman, comrade Peter Okala and secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Okpalaugo, made the disclosure while reacting to the peaceful election that produced Chief Romanus C. Umenze, as President General, PG and Mr. Kingsley Egbogu, as secretary, adding that Governor Soludo, as an ex-student of Uga Boys’ Secondary School, was groomed by the community on the need for peace to prevail at all times.
“Recall that Mr Governor is a critical beneficiary of the peaceful and serene atmosphere of Uga, having passed through the community as a former student of Uga Boys Secondary School, where Mr Governor’s foundation of excellence was laid.
“It’s only normal and highly expected of Mr Governor to have given the best to Ndi Uga, to reciprocate the token of divine gesture he received as a young man from Uga which formed an indelible mark of Excellence that now moves with Mr Governor wherever he goes.
“Recall also that during the process of time, bad eggs infiltrated our great town with selfish interest, employed all manner of strategies, funded crisis, killings and divisions and Uga was almost consumed with all kinds of Imported culture and tradition that would have put up the entire heritage and pride of Ndi Uga for sale.
“But the land of our birth and Ezumezu Ndi Uga, knowing all these from the beginning of time, have prepared Mr Governor for this historic purpose that has benefited us from the largesse of Mr Governor in Conflict Resolution, of which Uga’s portion is double.
“This is because Mr Governor, knowing fully well that no development thrives in an atmosphere of rancour and disunity, has to initiate the peaceful election that would sustain our culture, make the throne of our King strong, shift all the evil eyes of the pretenders who hover around with fake promises, use fake leadership in Uga’s peaceful beginning.
“It is obvious that Mr Governor is preparing huge for Ndi Uga in terms of development, road network, health care facility, youthful empowerment and education as a way of giving back to Ndi Uga. That’s why the token of peaceful election is here so that Uga would be a liveable and prosperous home,” the duo stated.
The movement commended the Governor for also appointing her son, Hon. Anthony Ngonadi, as the Special Adviser on Education and Barr Mrs Ifemeje, as the Attorney General of the State.
“Uga Democratic Vanguard is particularly happy that Mr Governor, being a bye product of Ndi Uga, is the pride of the entire Nation, the whole world is speaking about Mr Governor who is in the vanguard of taking Anambra State, the South East and entire Nation to the world, by making products and items manufactured locally for export.
“Cleaning of our environment is now a duty, security of Lives and properties for Ndi Anambra remains a priority as the many kidnappers’ camps have been destroyed and culprits arrested. The One Youth Two Skills initiative that is ongoing would take our unemployed youths off the street. We have so much achievement in so short a time coming from the Governor of our dreams,” Okala maintained.
