The All Soludo Support Groups, ASSG, Women Wings, Anambra North Zone, have thrown their weight behind Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, declaring him their preferred aspirant for the Anambra North Senatorial District ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

The endorsement rally, held at the Onitsha North Local Government Secretariat, GRA, drew a massive turnout of women leaders, party stakeholders, and top government officials.

It was described by participants as “one of its kind,” with women vowing to mobilize across wards and households to deliver Obiogbolu at the forthcoming APGA primary.

Setting the tone for the event, Mayor of Onitsha North LGA, Hon. Nwaeze Tony Nwora, welcomed delegates and praised Obiogbolu’s track record.

He highlighted the aspirant’s contributions to APGA’s growth and to Anambra State, insisting that Obiogbolu “remains the most outstanding aspirant” in the senatorial race.

Mayor of Idemili South LGA, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi, also lent her voice to the endorsement. She commended Obiogbolu’s leadership style, describing him as a selfless politician who has consistently invested in the progress of the party, the people, and humanity.

“It is time to reward Dr. Obiogbolu for all his service to the progress of APGA,” she charged. “I urge our women to take this message to their wards and to every household in Anambra. We must stand by a man who has always stood by us.”

Responding to the endorsement, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu said he was surprised by the overwhelming turnout of women across the zone, noting that it showed “strong unity and renewed energy” within APGA in Anambra North.

He commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, for what he called “unprecedented infrastructural projects” across the state, particularly in Anambra North.

“If given the mandate to represent Anambra North in the Senate, I will complement the governor’s efforts by attracting federal presence to our zone,”

Obiogbolu pledged. “Our people deserve federal roads, erosion control, industrial support, and quality legislation that speaks directly to our needs.”

Leaders of the ASSG Women Wings said the decision to back Obiogbolu was unanimous after assessing all aspirants. They cited his accessibility, philanthropy, and long-standing loyalty to APGA as key factors.
