Soludo Support Groups Pay Solidarity visit to APGA National Chairman, Victor Oye

The National Leadership of All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG), consisting of the Conveners of various Soludo Advocating Groups, has paid a solidarity visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at his Amawbia residence. The visit provided the group with the rare opportunity to engage the Party National Chairman on some burning issues in the polity.

In his opening remark, the National Chair of ASSG, Hon. Chinedu Glamour Nwoye appreciated Chief Oye for his uncommon leadership that has brought about the growth of the Party beyond the shores of the Southeast. He described the APGA National Chairman as a Man of many firsts, including being the First National Chairman of a political party in Nigeria under whom the Party acquired a permanent National headquarters in the Country’s capital. He urged him to continue his good works for the sake of posterity.

The group also called for a peaceful, transparent and credible Primaries in the upcoming Anambra Guber elections, proposing that the party adopts option A4 in conducting the forthcoming primary election to guarantee a more transparent process to the satisfaction of all.

Responding to the various contributions, the National Chairman reiterated the Party’s commitment to a free, fair and credible process. He reminded the group of the the Supremacy of the party and the need for all Aspirants to play according to the rules. He assured that the party will put forward a candidate who is generally acceptable to the party and Ndi Anambra.

In his vote of thanks, the National Secretary of the group, Dr Nelson Omenugha thanked the National Chairman for the warm reception he accorded to the Conveners, promising that the group will continue to engage with him more regularly in the build up to the “Consequential” Anambra Governorship elections come November 6, 2021. He conveyed the assurances of the Group’s regards and confidence on APGA leadership. He further announced the Group’s donation of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) in support of the ongoing APGA State Secretariat project. In addition to the sum, Dr Nelson Omenugha pledged three solar street lights around the ongoing party Secretariat building to enable night construction. Other individual donations made in support of the project include N50, 000, N100, 000 and N20, 000 made by Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, Hon. Jude Emecheta and Hon Amaka Obi respectively. The Group also announced monetary compensation to wives of the 3 policemen lost at the assassination attempt on Prof Soludo.

Those present and representing the Conveners of the 24 Soludo Support Groups include Hon Chinedu Glamour Nwoye (Convener Soludo Support Group & National Chair ASSG), Dr Nelson Omenugha (Convener Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo & National Secretary ASSG), Hon Jude Emecheta, (Chair Anambra Demands Soludo), Chief Emeka Orji (Convener Soludo Solution 2021), Sir Uche Egbebike, (Convener Movement for Good Governance and Conscience), Hon Amaka Obi (Convener Women Initiative for Greater Anambra) and the representative of Barr Irene Obiekwe (Convener Soludo Soludofied).
