Chief Nnmadi Unobuagha the only first elected chairman of Onitsha main market amalgamated traders union (OMATU) since the inception of the market has called on Gov. Soludo not to succumb to any pressure from people he described as political hirelings who are currently flooding Awka government house trying to use their connection in government to change the current leadership of the market headed by Chief Innocent Ezeora noting that such people are enemies of the market who don’t want the current peace, unity and development pervading the market to thrive.

Making this appeal to Gov. Soludo, while speaking to newsmen on the current developments in the market, Unobuagha gave kudos to the present leadership of the market for their efforts in stopping any form of extortion inside the market as well as carrying along all the stakeholders and zones in the market which has resulted in absolute peace and tranquillity in the market.

Speaking on Gov. Soludo’s achievements so far, he scored him higher in every aspect of the state developments positing that Gov. Soludo’s friendly policies for market development in the state have lifted commerce in the state. He stated that on account of these wonderful achievements he is convinced that it will be good for the state to support Gov. Soludo to go for a second tenure in office to enable the state to benefit more from his further achievements.

He averred that he is ever ready to join forces with all the traders In the market to ensure that the governor’s second tenure will be realized.

Said he, “ I want my able and amiable Governor Professor Charles Soludo (Charlie Nwangbafor) not to listen to political hirelings who are bent to mislead the government to tamper with the leadership of the market, I’m appealing to him to turn them as they are enemies of the main market as well as enemies of the government, they should be regarded as saboteurs as they are green snakes in green grasses who are all out to sabotage government efforts on the market, we the traders of the market are assuring him the Governor of our support and are ready to mobilize the entire traders in the state to support him and his good governance in the state whenever he wants to go for a second tenure in office.
