Soludo sends delegates to Anambra East to assess impact of flood on the region

Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo has sent a delegation to Aguleri Otu, Mkpunando and Eziaguluotu in Aguleri Anambra East Local Government Area to assess the impact of flood on public infrastructures and suggest best ways of ameliorating the plights of the people.

Speaking at Colonel Mike Attah Secondary School Enuguotu, Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji said he joined the team in order to identify place for leisure centre where people from the areas could relax and enjoy themselves after their agricultural activities.
He maintained that such a pleasurable center would attract the villagers and help enlighten them on the activities and policies of the government.
He informed them that Governor Chukwuma Soludo after visiting the area was passionate about lifting their living standards that is why he sent the delegation to the areas.

Commissioner Onyenji commended the Commissioner for Power and Water resources, Mr Julius Chukwuemeka an indigene of the area who also schooled in the area, describing him as a hero to his people.
He encouraged the students of the areas to be serious with their studies in order to succeed.

On her part, the State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma ude said they came at the instance of the Governor to check the level of damage caused by the flood that submerged the area in the previous years to find a lasting solution and further lift the standard of education in the areas.
Professor Chuma Ude reminded the students of the numerous benefits they could get from education and urged them to be committed with their studies.
She also charged teachers in the area to be dedicated to their duties reminding them that they are serving God and humanity.

She stated that they would submit their report to Governor Soludo for further actions.

While exchanging pleasantries with the teachers and students of his Almamater at Colonel Mike Attah Secondary School Enuguotu, the State Commissioner for Power and Water resources, Engr Julius Chukwuemeka told them that no one can stop them from making it in life except themselves.
He told them how they were studying under mango tree during their time yet, it did not stop him from becoming great in life.

In a vote of thanks, the President General Mkpunando Otu, Mr Ifeanyi Muokwe thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his delegation for having their interest at heart and appealed for more government presence in their area.
