Soludo reckons I’ll work if elected President – Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has divulged what Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State said to him during his visit.

Atiku disclosed that Soludo expressed the belief that he would work if elected Nigeria’s president.

He spoke at the PDP campaign at Alex Ekwueme square in the State on Thursday.

Atiku also promised to make Onitsha Port functional if elected president.

Atiku said: ”On our arrival today, we visited Governor Soludo and he said to me that he believes that I will work when I win.

“So, he urged me to reconstruct all the federal roads and control erosion menace in the State, as Anambra is regarded as erosion headquarters in the country.”

“I also promise to dredge the River Niger and make sure the Onitsha Port becomes functional,” he said.

There has been agitation by the South-East to produce Nigeria’s next president in 2023.

Stakeholders had wanted all the forefront political parties to zone their presidential ticket to the South-East.

While the PDP presidential ticket went to the North, the Labour Party, LP, has Mr. Peter Obi of the South-East as its flagbearer.

Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the APC is from the South-West.
