Soludo continues to crush PDP, APC in Ihiala as collation of Anambra 2021 guber results continues
The ruling party in Anambra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), proceeding with its conquest in the on-going governorship election, crushing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in today’s supplementary election in Ihiala Local Government Area.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had yesterday declared Saturday’s ballot inconclusive and ordered a supplementary poll in Ihiala, with APGA’s Prof. Chukwuma Soludo maintaining an unassailable lead over second-placed Valentine Ozigbo of PDP while APC’s Senator Any Uba trailed far behind.
Ahead of the collation of Ihiala results scheduled for 9:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, preliminary results from several polling units showed APGA dominating and PDP maintaining its second position while APC continued to lag behind. The 15 other parties taking part in the election have largely served to make up the numbers.
