Shocker! UNIZIK Lecturer Gives Back To The University

It was shocking to staff and students of Industrial Technology Education Department, Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka when they saw their colleague and their lecturer,
Mr Ikechukwu Chidiebere Odogwu, a senior staff and an academic in the Department of Industrial Technology Education, Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka was caught spraying grass chemical in the front of his Faculty on humanitarian basis.

According to the staff and students who briefed this reporter, the act was part of his social responsibility and development.

According to them, Odogwu chose to ensure that his Faculty is thoroughly weeded against the rainy season that will spring up weeds and make the environment bushy.

They said he decided to fund and sponsor the purchase of chemicals and equipment and eventually took it upon himself to do the work instead of hiring more hands.

This is commendable judging the situation Nigerian Lecturers have found themselves in the present Nigeria.

The Dean of his faculty, Prof. C. C. Okolocha and his HoD, Dr. P. I. Okoye were said to be excited over the sacrifices by the lecturer, Mr Odogwu Ikechukwu Chidiebere.
