Several religious organizations, and religious stakeholders from Christian, Islamic and traditional religions have called for severe punishment to be meted out to homosexual act offenders ranging from public stoning, and flogging to death etc. in the country, especially on the recent homosexual act committed by a Homosexual activist Mr, Nonso Damian Ohanaemere who was caught having a group homosexual act with his fellow man, One Master Eberechukwu Peter and Mr Osita Ojukwu a bosom friend of his inside one of numerous makeshift shops located inside a local market named “Eke Market Igbuzor town Delta State Nigeria on March, 10th 2024.

Newsmen gathered from eyewitnesses that the activist Mr Ohanaemere and his friend co-homosexual Mr Osita Ojukwu was lucky to still be alive as they were clever enough to jump into a nearby river which was a tributary to the famous Niger River to escape the Irate mob who gathered with a dangerous weapon to lynch them and that their partner master Eberechukwu Peter was not lucky as he was overpowered set ablaze and left to die by the mob who overpowered the local vigilante in charge of the market.

Newsmen further gathered that the homosexual activist whose homosexual lifestyles were not known until the incident had a few months ago escaped from the kidnapper’s den in his hometown Orsuihiteukwa, Imo State of Nigeria where he was abducted. unconfirmed sources said he was abducted by people suspected to be government agents on account of his vehement opposition to the manner youths of his town were killed by government troops sent to the town to stop youth restiveness, it was gathered that he was seen in a video that went viral condemning the government harsh method of executing the task which left a lot of causalities.

Making their grievances known while addressing journalists in Asaba on the heels of the incident, the coalition of these religious organizations and stakeholders who spoke under the aegis of positive action against Homosexual acts and other Immoral behaviour in Nigeria (PAAHAAOIBIN) Rabbi, Abraham Musa Mohammed who described themselves as God representative in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world noted that such homosexual acts are evil, ungodly and abominations to all religion adding that people that indulge in such act are a disgrace to mankind and don’t deserve to be alive in order not to be a bad influence to the youths.

But quickly reacting to the matter, the Nigeria Police Authorities stated that the existing laws in Nigeria prescribe a heavy punishment for people indulging in homosexual acts and will not hesitate to prosecute any person involved in it and if found guilty a long-term heavy punishment awaits such offender even as they said they are prepared to prosecute and if found guilty sentenced the activist whenever the case is brought to their notice.

Newsmen’s further investigation showed that apart from Nigeria Police as well as other relevant governmental agencies who are against Homosexual, acts in Nigeria, The activist town people, kinsmen, as well as every religious group both traditional religion and otherwise have condemned the action of the activist we gathered that his kinsmen in a meeting recently has declared a manhunt for him swearing that if caught that the community is going to kill him for bringing shame to their community and Igbos in the South East of Nigeria
