Senator Jarigbe defects to APC, cites PDP divisions
Senator Jarigbe Jarigbe of Cross River North has left the PDP for the APC, blaming persistent crises and factionalism in his former party.
The defection strengthens APC’s hold in the state, giving it all three Senate seats. Senate composition now stands at APC 76, PDP 25, LP 4, APGA 2, NNPP 1, and SDP 1.
