Security: Anambra Business Man Donates Communication Gadgets For His Community

An Anambra Business man, Chief Chuka Emedebe, Atu Oba, has donated 30 Motorola communication gadgets to the community vigilante operatives through Oba Patriotic Union, OPU to encourage local vigilante operatives in his Oba community, Idemili South Local Government Area.

The Donor while presenting the gadgets to the OPU President General, PG, Chief Anthony Uzor Ejiofor, on behalf of the security outfit, said that he was satisfied with the performance of the security outfit and urged him not to relent in the protection of lives and properties in the area.

“I did this to help in providing security in Oba, on two occasions I have made cash donations to Oba and I will get more things for them with time,to help improve on security, even if security is everybody’s business,” he stated

He commended the PG of OPU and his members adding that they have been able to provide security in the community and recalled that he was prompted to make the donation when he was in a place and the security personnels arrived in their vehicle.

“I was in a place three days ago when they arrived in their vehicle and I decided to provide them with these gadgets. I thank them for restoring security in Oba,” Emedebe stated.

The Oba security Chairman, Chief Basil Igwilo and the Special Adviser on security, Hon Nriama Ebuka, commended Emedebe, saying that the donation would spur them to perform more than they have been doing and urged other good spirited individuals to emulate the donor.

In his response, the PG expressed satisfaction with the donation to help beef up security in the area and commended the donor for assisting to ensure safety of lives and properties in Oba.

He reiterated the resolve of OPU to protect her people and properties, disclosing that OPU has been able to restore peace in Okuzu Oba and other places even as he urged other well to do individuals to emulate the kind gesture of Emedebe.
