SASA Diassociates Self From Viral Video Alleging Injuries To Passerby
The Managing Director of Anambra State Anti-touting Squad (SASA) Mr. Monday Nwokoye has diassociated the agency from an online viral video where it was alleged that officers of the agency injured a passerby urinating along the road.
In the viral video, it was alleged that a middle aged man who could be seen bleeding in his ankle was injured by SASA operatives while he was urinating along the Toll Gate
Reacting on the development, Mr. Nwokoye described the media report as false, misleading, unfounded, baseless and laughable, noting that officers of the agency does not do environmental work under any guise, urging people to always verify their source of information before sharing to avoid getting into trouble.
He maintained that such enforcement is not within the mandate or operational responsibilities of the agency, as their operation is to ensure that touts are pushed out of every park and market in Anambra, warning those who might be operating with the agency’s name to desist from doing so, or face the full wrath of the law.
The SASA boss further commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his support to the agency, assuring him and Ndi Anambra that they will continue to discharge their duties without any fear or favour.
