Rivers Court Sets July 14 for Hearing on Commission’s Sack by Administrator
A Rivers High Court has scheduled July 14, 2025, to hear a suit by members of the State Services Commission challenging their dismissal by Sole Administrator Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas.
Appointed by suspended Governor Fubara, the claimants argue the sack was illegal. The defence claims federal emergency laws justify the action, but the claimants insist those laws are obsolete under the 1999 Constitution.
