Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi ; An intellectual compatriot of a humble background

Rev. Uche Ibeabuchi is from Okuzu Mbana Village – Oba, in Idemili South of Anambra State. He’s a clergy cum business man. Up to his time of appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari, he was the President Of Okuzu Mbana Quarter Village and Chairman of Oba as a town in Idemili South Council.
Uche Ibeabuchi was a card carrying member of the defunct CPC party before its merger with other political parties to form the present day All Progressive Party, APC. Rev. Uche has been an ardent supporter of President Buhari all through his political ambitions since 2003. He has contributed his quota to the development and advancement of the APC since 2014.
He has attended numerous party congresses. The role he played in the camp of Chief George Moghalu during his days of party primaries for Anambra gubernatorial elections earned him the appointment to head ZIMUZO Foundation put up by Chief George Moghalu to help the downtrodden in our society. Rev. Uche has discharged his duties to the benefit of Ndi Anambra state especially the old,orphans and widows.
Tersely, after his nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as a Federal Commissioner into Federal Character Commission representing the Good People of Anambra.
Disgruntled elements and mischief makers who mean no well for Ndi Anambra started a fight against his choice by President Muhammadu Buhari, he has continued to face tirades of media balkanisation from the purveyors of fake news aimed at tarnishing the hard earned reputation.
They questioned if Rev. Ibeabuchi is of Anambra State origin, they argued that his is not a member of All Progressive Congress Party. This is laughable because these men who claim to be President Generals from Idemili LGA are sponsored miscreants from Peoples Democratic Party who feel that they own Anambra state and will decide his fate.
These men were never PGs neither are they members of the governing All Progressive Congress at the centre, for these and numerous other reasons their stance is not factual and a mere move to distract Rev Ibeabuchi from representing the interest of Anambra state in the Commission.
Appointments into such important commission are given to men and women of nationalistic ideology who pose intellectual competence,quality,service delivery and are of unquestionable character.
Rev Uche Ibeabuchi is a round peg in a round hole. He’s a man of integrity and uprightness, simple, smart and intelligent Igbo of Anambra extraction who is ready to champion the course of his people beyond party politics. He has enough to handle issues of national importance and should not be denied of this great opportunity to serve God and Humanity.
