Reps Summon FCT Minister of State Over Budget Snub, Threaten Sanctions

The House of Representatives Committee on FCT Area Councils has summoned FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, over her failure to attend a budget defense session.

Lawmakers warned of possible sanctions, calling her absence a disregard for parliamentary oversight. Only 3 of 14 agencies under her purview appeared. The committee urged President Tinubu to ensure executive compliance with legislative invitations.
