The parish priest of St Paul’s Anglican Church, Nkpor-agu, Revd Canon Ifeanyi Bennett Nsofor, has advised Christians to keep away from people living in idleness.

Revd Canon Ifeanyi told the congregation to deviate from any brethren living in idleness and not in accord with the tradition they received from him who is the sheepherder of God’s sheep.

The priest made it clear to the members of the church that they ought to imitate the Christ like life, because when Christ came to the world he was not idle.

The priest emphasized more on the letter of Paul to the Thessalonians, where Paul made it known to the people that there’s no way one can eat another man’s bread without paying for it. For they toiled and laboured night and day, that they might not burden any of them.

The priest talked about the part where Paul told the brethrens to do their works in quietness and to earn their own living and not to depend on others income.

Revd Canon Ifeanyi at the end told the congregation not to take the idle brethren as enemies, but to warn them as brothers and sisters that idleness must be rebuked for if not it opens door for the devil to take control of their lives.
