Prof Stella Okunna Charges Ndi Anambra To Ascend Higher.

Nigeria’s first female Professor of Mass Communication has charged Ndi Anambra to continue to ascend higher in all fields of human endeavour considering the comparative lofty positions they have attained in Nigeria today.

Speaking during the maiden edition of the ANAMBRA MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD organized by the Akulueuno foundation in conjunction with Eminent Media, Stand up for Women Society, Tournigeria Communications, AlexReports and 100 Achievers Team which held at Vertex View hotel in Awka amidst glitz and grandeur, said that the theme of the award which is ARISE ANAMBRA is a “call to action”. She stated that even though Anambra State is among the frontline States in Nigeria with higher indices of development and assorted crème of human capacity, the State should not rest on her oars.

Proffering the way forward, she encouraged the Ndi Anambra to tone down their fierce individualism and instead embrace the “Igwebuike” or communal spirit in order to go farther. Furthermore, she urged Anambrarians to hearken to the think home philosophy with a view to bringing their investments home which will enable them create an oasis of wealth in our dear state. She also commended the Organizers of the award ceremony for their vision to sanitize the award culture through the credibility of the selection process.

In attendance at the high octane event were Prof. Josephat Ogbuagu, mni (Governing Board Chairman, Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency), Chief Dr. Tony Anukwu (Okwanka Aguleri), Dr. Godwin Maduka, Hon. Barr. Bona Orakwe, Chief Ken Emeakayi, Hon. Justice Nkem Izuako, Engr. Dr. Francisca Nwafulugo, HRH. Eze Amb. Jerome Ezeneche, Lady Princess Nkiru Okolo, Ichie Dr. Eric Okunna, Prof. Emman Okunna, Dr. Nkiru Ezeama, Prof Emeka Ezeama, Chief Obini Onuchukwu,Dr Ken Anozie and host of others.
