Arthur Eze rains Billions in Ebonyi, supports Buhari
An average Abakaliki man is at war with himself over an Anmabra man no matter what? If he has opportunity, he would not extend to an Anambra man unless few of them with Anambra blood or so unique and have grown to realize that clannishness pays no one.
What is Anmabra’s sin? When the three states were one Anambra , Enugu and Ebonyi, Anambra people dominated the civil service and were entrepreneurs! Just that as if currently some citizens of Ebonyi are not dominating others because of their population and education?
But yet Anambra men have continued to show them love against all odds. Anambra people have continued to doll out money in Billions for Ebonyi politics. They include Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah , Engr Arthur Eze and Chief Ibeto to mention but a few.
Last Wednesday, Prince Arthur Eze doled out Billions in Abakaliki yet no factory in Ukpo his community to take youths off the street. There is nothing to show that such a billionaire sharing Prince is from there.
N1 Billion is enough to turn Ukpo to El Dorado, with many seeing no need traveling out for greener pastures.
If I ask him now to give me N30 Million to float a thriving local newspaper even as his business to employ youths which I already know what to do or N600 Million for a thriving zonal or National newspaper, he would tag me stupid! What an irony?
Let me share the report by Felix Uka in Abakaliki with you.
Anambra state-born oil magnet, Prince Engr Arthur Eze, on Wednesday splashed billions of
naira in Ebonyi state.
First, he gave N50 million to a pocket of traditional rulers of Abaomege
community in Onicha LGA of the state where he flagged off the construction
of overhead bridge named after him by the state government.
At Akanu Ibiam International Conference Centre, Abakaliki where he was
given a chieftaincy title, he dashed N200 million to the monarchs.
To his chief host, Governor David Nweze Umahi, Arthur donated the sum of
N1 billion.
That was not all. He also announced donation of N1 billion to Ebonyi State
University, EBSU.
What could have so opened the vault of the godfather, one could wonder.
The state governor, Umahi proved to know the route to the heart of movers
and shakers of Nigerian polity.
Just recently, Umahi appointed Arthur, the Chancellor of Ebonyi State
University, and named a bridge after him.
He cruised round the Abakaliki city centre in the company of the governor
in his Rolls Royce. After seeing the legacy projects of Umahi and
lauded Umahi for his developmental strides in the state, he urged
Ebonyi people to support him for second term.
He said: “Ebonyi State is looking beautiful now. There is no state in the
South East that is like Ebonyi State now. It has the best roads. Every road
has been tarred. Umahi has turned Ebonyi to a construction site;
construction work is ongoing everywhere.
“Ebonyi has the best road and everywhere is clean. Umahi’s training in
engineering which God helped him to acquire is helping him. So, I thank
you, the people of Ebonyi State for the love you have for him.
“I am praying God to help Buhari to return. Please, vote for Buhari. It is
the north that will hand power to us. They will make us president. The plan
is for Buhari to return power to Ndigbo. It is Buhari that will hand power
to the people of South East.
“I thank all the traditional rulers in Ebonyi here present for the respect
you accord your Governor. I will give you N200 million. I appeal to
everybody to support your brother for his second term bid.
“I will give him N1 billion naira for his re-election bid. I have it; so I
will give him. Please support him to go back for second tenure”, he
appealed.
In return, the traditional rulers gave him 1000 tubers of yam, 1000 bags
of Abakaliki Rice while Umahi hosted a lavished birthday party for him at
the Governor’s Lodge.
