Prince Arthur Eze Donates N100M To Paul University

The Proprietor, Paul University, Awka, His Grace, The Most Revd Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, PhD on Sunday, December 22, 2024, performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the ultra-modern Faculty of Medical Sciences (Medicine and Dentistry) at Paul University, Awka.

Prince Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu, Ebube Ukpo), in a remarkable gesture of philanthropy, presented a cheque for One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000) to ensure the immediate commencement of the project in memory of his late brother.

The faculty, to be named the Prince Engr (Dr) Arthur Eze Faculty of Medical Sciences, is dedicated to the memory of Prince Arthur Eze’s late brother, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Walter Eze (Okofia V, Eze Ukpo, and Clan Head of Dunukofia). The project is set to open in 2025, commemorating Igwe Dr. Walter Eze’s 100th posthumous birthday.

This monumental event follows the recent formal approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the commencement of Nursing Science and other health-related programs at Paul University, further solidifying its position as a hub for excellence in medical education.

Dignitaries in attendance included members of the Ukpo Royal Family, notably Prince Okey Eze, the son of the late Igwe Walter Eze; the University’s Pro-Chancellor, Prince Dr. Emeka Eze; members of the Governing Council; and the Vice-Chancellor, Venerable Prof. Obiora Nwosu. The event also drew notable clergy, including Bishop Owen Nwokolo (Diocese on the Niger) and Bishop Benson Chukwunweike (Diocese of Aninri).

The Paul University community expressed profound gratitude to Prince Arthur Eze for his unparalleled generosity, recognizing his unwavering commitment to the University’s growth.
