The Presidency spent over N23bn on foreign currency in 2024 for international trips by President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — a 23% rise from 2023.

GovSpend data shows the President’s Dubai trip alone cost $1.27bn, while the VP and First Lady’s trips totaled over N1.2bn. The presidential air fleet received N5.07bn.

Total air travel costs jumped 344% to N7.83bn. Critics, including SERAP, slammed the spending as wasteful amid Nigeria’s economic challenges.
