Phil Neville’s son Harvey has signed his first professional deal with Manchester United – after starting his development with rivals City.

Neville – a defender like his dad Phil and Uncle Gary – has penned a one-year deal with the Red Devils after turning 18.

The teenager broke the news on his Instagram account, writing: “Proud to have signed my first professional contract with manchesterunited.

“Thank you to all my family and coaches for their support.”

And dad Phil was one of the first to respond on the social media site, posting red, white and black circles – representing United’s colours – and a heart emoji.

Neville will now work towards earning a place in United’s under-23s – and ultimately will be looking to emulate his famous dad and uncle by breaking into the first-team squad.

He has a lot to live up to, with his dad having forged a top-level career for United, Everton and England.
