Our critics were saboteurs lacking developmental ideas- CHS&T Keffi Management

The management of the College of Health Science and Technology,Keffi in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state has said critics of the college’s current management team,were saboteurs, lacking the requisite ideas to move the institution forward.
Reacting to some allegations made against the institution recently,the Acting provost ,Alhaji Suleiman Abdullahi in an exclusive interview in his office told some newsmen ,that instead of joining issues,he will rather speak on the development and what the state government has turned the institution into.
The Acting provost who said he took over the administration of the then school of health Keffi,as the senior special assistant to the then governor,however pointed out that then,the school was undergoing a lot of crisis.
He said,then the school was banned from operating Three departments by the regulatory board and stopped from participating in any activities of the NBTE.
” I want to tell you that the school had remained a shadow itself for over two decades, admission was a shame and we said no,restructuring most be our priority.
” We tabled our need before the state governor,who then advised us to make clear our need and ensured that it was captured in the budget,before now this has not been happening,so as I speak to you,we have presented our target and is captured in the 2021 budget,because the governor said he was not going to do anything outside the budget.
” It will also interest you to know that we have gone round some sister colleges and institutions and discovered that there is need for us to operate as a college,today,we are in partnership with some universities in the country ,who are interested in ensuring we offered degree programs,already we have OND and HND programs here in College of Health Science and Technology Keffi at the moment” He informed.
Alhaji, Suleiman further explained that the management has secured assurance of the Federal Ministry Science and Technology,who are prepared to set up an ICT department,adding that UBEC via the partnership has built a block of class rooms as part of their contribution while other interventions are on the way as expected from TetFund.
” So it’s rather unfortunate for those who think the only way to deter us from advancing and achieving the dreams of the college. Our students have made remarkable improvements today far from those days where the score in percentages used to be from 30-40%.Let me also add that our admission today is through JAMB and not as it were in those days” He posited.
