Onyeama,Nnamani,Chime Lauds Enugu APC congress

Many stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress( APC) party in Enugu state has described the congress of the party held on Saturday,July 31,as very peaceful,devoid of rancour, signifying that peace has eventually returned in the state wing of the party.

The chairman of the state working committee of the party,Chief Ben Nwoye testified to the fact that there was no parallel congress conducted in the state since the state party stakeholders resolved conflicting issues earlier before the congress.

The Minister of foreign affairs,Mr Geoffrey Onyeama,who monitored some wards in the state in his capacity as the leader of the party in the state, commended the unity and sincerity of purpose with which APC party faithfuls in Enugu state participated massively in the exercise.
Onyeama,whose first port of call in his monitoring exercise was Eke ward(his own) in Udi local government area of Enugu state,extolled the large turn out for the exercise held within the premises of St Paul’s Teachers Training College,Eke..

While commending the party faithfuls for their consciousness and willingness, he urged them to vote for candidates of their choice,stating he as a person did not anoint any person for any position.

At Udi/Agbudu ward, the immediate past civilian governor of the state,Mr Sullivan Chime, described the exercise in his ward as very peaceful. He disclosed that the series of meeting by his ward party members prior to the congress, enhanced the consensus arrangement used in the election of most of the officials.

His words,”You can see that we are together. We held meetings to encourage them and that shows that we are one family”
“I believe what is happening here today is an indication of what is happening across other wards in the state”.

The AUTHORITY observed that the election also produced a five man state delegate of the ward whom includes Chief Flavour Eze,a personal assistant to the Foreign affairs Minister,Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, Barr Ugochukwu Agballa, a foundation member of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Enugu state who also ran for the Enugu state governorship the, former governorship eat in 2023 on the platform of APGA,but lost to the then incumbent, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani(PDP).

Agballah described the consensus process of electing most of the officials as part of internal democracy, indicating that unity and common understanding is now thriving in the state wing of the party.

Likewise ,at Amechi ward 2,in Enugu South local government area, Chief Ken Nnamani,the Secretary National caretaker committee of APC,told news men that the conduct of the exercise in his ward was very peaceful. He commended the party faithfuls in his ward for their team spirit.

Hon Hyacinth Ngwu, who also belongs to Amechi ward 2,glittered with hopes that APC will make a difference in Enugu state, in the coming general elections.

The Federal Character Commissioner for Enugu state,Ambassador Mrs Ginika Tor, who participated in her Ugbo/Ogugu/Owelli/Amoli wsrd in Awgu local government area of Enugu state,described the conduct of the exercise which was held at Central School Amoli as very active and peaceful. She extolled the party national leadership and stakeholders in the state for their commitment which endeared a peaceful conduct of the exercise in Enugu state.

Another Chieftain of the party in Enugu state, Hon Val Nnadozie, who spoke from Oji River said that the exercise was smooth and fair in his ward Achi Uno 2. He disclosed that the officials emerged through consensus arrangement.

His words,”The ward congress in my ward was very successful. We obeyed all guidelines and produced all the officers through consensus.We believe other wards did same. so we can in a united stand take over Enugu state government house,come 2023″

“I salute our honourable minister,Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, for his very peaceful disposition. Also our leader,Chief Ken Nnamani,for his wisdom and direction .His excellency,Sullivan Chime,a good man and trail blazer I salute my people of Oji River.

The APC Congress Committee secretary to Enugu state, Mr Sherrif Jallab ,who spoke to news men at Udi/Agbudu ward,described the conduct of the exercise in Enugu state,as very peaceful and effective in Enugu state,from the much he observed.

He stated,”I have been to several wards including Eke ward, Udi/Agbudu ward and can confirm that the exercise has been peaceful I am satisfied with what I have seen so far”.
