Onitsha South Mayor Emulates Governor Soludo Fixing Of Roads, Declares Zero Tolerance On Potholes

The Mayor, Onitsha South Local Government, Hon.Chief Emeka Orji, a.k.a (Dikediebube) has emulated Governor Soludo on ensuring that our roads are in order for smooth vehicular movement, resolved his commitment on fixing the failed portions of the roads in the area by declaring zero tolerance for all the Potholes on the roads.
Speaking while on supervision of the ongoing projects, Chief Orji stated that all damaged portions of roads at Modebe, Ozomagala, and Ihembosi streets, among other roads across the area, would be repaired with appropriate materials to positively impact smooth businesses and transportation and prevent road hazards.
“We would keep on doing our best to ensure that the portholes become a thing of the past as Mr. Governor has done remarkably well on road network, we need to ensure that other roads are portholes free,” the Mayor assured.
Orji while stating that the local government is using appropriate materials for the roads repair detailed the process of road maintenance currently underway across the nook and crannies of the area.
He emphasized that the process involves cutting the failed portions into regular shapes, removing the damaged material, and replacing it with stone-based materials. “We are committed to completing all the failed portions using this method at the moment,” he reassured.

Beyond celebrating the completion of these roads, we encourage everyone to adopt a culture of maintenance, avoiding the dumping of refuse in drainage channels and adhering strictly to road signs to ensure safety and longevity,”He advised.
