ONICCIMA Lauds Soludo’s Visionary Leadership, Commends Him for Eradicating Touts, Illegal Tolls

The Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture have applauded and acknowledged the steady strides of the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his efforts to bring critical and visionary leadership to the development of Anambra State.

In a paper presented to newsmen in Onitsha, by its President, Chief Sir. Kevine Obieri, the body noted that the partnership between the state Government and the organised private sectors is critical to the overall success of the economic development of the state.

They also stated that ONICCIMA would continue to hold press briefing every quarter, focusing on the key areas of interest and offering suggestions that would help to shape policy directions for the state government to better the lives of their stakeholders in Onisha.

They added that the body has resolved to continuously and meaningfully partner the State government, having observed certain areas which they believed if government is able to properly address would go a long way in fast-tracking development in Anambra State.

They mentioned the areas to include developing a structured wastes management system and reforming Anambra Markets administration.

Others areas mentioned by the body include: Revenue Generation, Data Collection for Businesses in Anambra State, Rehabilitation of Roads, Urgent needs for a Mass Transit System, Employment Creation Using the Igbo Apprenticeship Model, Tourism and Relaxation. 

Further more, the body urged the State government to remain firm and be committed to eradicating pockets of resistant touts and illegal revenue collectors when ever they might rear their ugly head, pledging to remain committed to be in working partnership with the state government for the progress of Anambra State.
