One Killed, Others injured in Anambra road crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra state command have confirmed one person dead in a lone accident in Umunze, Anambra state.

The sector public education officer, RC Kamal Musa in a statement said the accident took place on wednesday and involved a a 911 M/ benz Tipper with registration number ENU 924 XA.

According to the statement, one male adult was reportedly killed while two other victims sustained degrees of injuries.

Eyewitness report claimed that the driver was speeding excessively when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed eventually.

According to him, “A total of three people including (2) male adults and (1) female adult were on board. One male adult the dead victim was deposited at the Mogue by FRSC rescue team from Umunze Unit Command after Doctors confirmation.”

He said that Road obstruction has been removed to ensure free flow of traffic adding that the police at Umunze, towed the vehicle to the Station for further investigation.
