Okopoly Organises Maiden Internet Conference
An International Conference on Information Science, Media, Academic Research and Development organised by School of Information Technology, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, has rounded off in Oko, Anambra state.
The e-conference was the first internet conference with the theme, “Meeting the Challenges of Sustainable Development”.
The conference brought together innovative academics, researchers and industrial experts in the field of Information Science and Technology, Engineering, Social Science and Humanities to a common forum.
The Dean of the School, Dr Onyeka Uwakwe, said the 1st international conference was aimed at assembling academics and other innovative researchers to a global stage, noting that the conference was designed for international participants.
He further stated that due to the persisting COVID-19 pandemic, individuals and organisations seek ways to best adjust to the prevailing situation. He stressed that taking advantage of new technologies was the best approach to limiting the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.
