One major factor fueling the organic support for Dr. Alex Obiogbolu’s senatorial aspiration within the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is what party members describe as his “unmistakable kindred spirit.”

When Obiogbolu joined APGA years ago, there was no fanfare, party faithful recall. His return was likened to “a son coming home to his kindred.”

His acceptance into the party was natural and his integration seamless, reflecting the age-old APGA mantra, Nkea bụ nke anyi.

“This is our own.” According to members, he did not struggle to belong because his values aligned with the party’s ethos of loyalty, discipline, and service.

Within APGA, Obiogbolu is credited with being more than just a fit. Party sources say he became a unifying force who helped restore the “kindred spirit” in the party.

His calm influence, they argue, contributed to unity, peace, and stability across party structures — conditions that preceded what they describe as remarkable achievements and unprecedented electoral victories in Anambra State.

That same spirit, supporters say, is now driving the wide acceptance of his bid for the Anambra North Senatorial seat. “In Dr. Obiogbolu, APGA does not just see an aspirant. It sees its reflection, it sees its own,” one party leader noted.

The sentiment, described as “tested, trusted, and transformative,” is expected to galvanize party leadership and members to rally behind his aspiration as the 2027 elections draw closer.
