OBINNA ETELE: AN EXAMPLE OF A PASSIONATE AND INFLUENCIAL LEADER

Entrepreneurs and salespeople are assumed to be leaders. But that’s not always the case. People may be buying what a salesperson has to sale, but they’re not following him. At best, he is able to persuade people for a moment, but he holds no long-term influence with them.

Gradually and steadily, Mr. Obinna Etele, a young man who dropped out from medical school to attend to his entrepreneurial passion, which has seen him become the Group Managing Director of Eteleson Industries Limited, is itching his name on the sands of time, without making much noise about it.

A graduate of University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom, Mr. Etele made headlines for abandoning his studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he was studying Medicine to pursue his entrepreneurial passion.

After realizing his dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, a diploma in Law in International Trade and a certificate in Information Technology in UK, Mr. Etele returned home in 2007 with an initiative targeted at changing the mindsets of undergraduates and youths in Nigeria towards entrepreneurship.

Since then, the author of the book, Entrepreneurism and Emerging Young Entrepreneurs: Wealth Creation Knows No Age, has never looked back. Mr. Obinna Etele uses every opportunity that comes his way to encourage undergraduates and young Nigerians to be like him, by pursuing their dreams.

So it comes as no surprise, that the Government of Anambra State has invited Mr. Obinna Etele, a much sought after leadership and mentorship expert, to share his experience with others, in the Maiden Anambra Solution Youth to Youth Mentorship Round Table, on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at Hilton Leisure Hotel, Awka.

Powered by the Office of the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programme, Mr. Obinna Etele will once again guide participants on time tested principles that has seen him rise from just being a passionate dreamer to becoming a Group Managing Director of a conglomerate at a very young age.

Like Mr. Obinna Etele, you too can become a better leader if you can be able to care, influence and Carey more people along. Remember, he who thinks he leads, but has no followers, is only taking a walk.
