The Regent of Oba, Prince Noel Ezenwa (Ezeamaalu Oba), Oba Patriotic Union (OPU), President General(PG), Oba, Rev. Chris Emelie, and other illustrious sons of Oba have drummed support for Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State as he lays the foundation for Pharmaceuticals market.

Governor Charles Soludo also said that the popular Ogbogwu International Bridgehead market will be leveled to the ground in the next 24 months if they refuse to join their counterparts beside Oba International market.

Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of the Central Pharmaceutical &Allied Products, Coordinated Wholesale Center (CWC) project Oba, Soludo
requested for land to establish pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and residential estate that will be the best in Africa.

“Regent of Oba, thanks for your blessings and welcome address. We need additional 150 heaters to build a manufacturing hub and also a technologically driven smart city to house over 10,000 people.

“The Oba International Airport, the Oba International market and this pharmaceutical hub which ought to have been the biggest in Africa were jinxed but today the 3rd month of my coming into office, the jinx is broken,” said Soludo.

Earlier in his welcome address, Oba Regent on behalf of Ndi Oba expressed delight that the CWC project which experienced initially hiccups during the past administration could be actualized during the present Soludo’s administration.

Ezenwa after informing that the CWC project was Late Prof. Dora Akunyili’s brainchild pledged that Oba people will continue to pray for the project and were committed to offer whatever support needed at the community level to make it a success.

“Mr. Governor, we salute your dynamism and dedication to making the CWC project come to fruition. Its success will bring some sanity to drug distribution in the South East, provide jobs to Anambra youths and produce more millionaires in the state,” said Prince Noel Ezenwa.

According to the PG Oba, Rev Chris Emelie, It is the appointed time. The youths, Oba Patriotic Union executives, Oba people at home and in Diaspora including the Royal Cabinet are working together to embrace and support the changes God is bringing to Oba.

“God answered my prayers and gave us Clement weather. God’s hand is with us and only God can change things, nobody can stop it. I pray God does not abandon Oba community”, said Rev Emelie.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for House of Representatives, Idemili North & South, Chief Ikechukwu Iyiegbu (Ike Cubana) said that Oba community was excited that such a gigantic Project was established in Oba.

” We value what is coming to Oba. Many communities may not be happy that such project was sited in Oba.Everyone is highly committed even securitywise to ensure the actualization of this project,” said Iyiegbu.

Also, President Aboji Akanano Oba, Nze Dozie Nweke said: this is God’s hand work because we the land owners had lost hope on the project because It was almost relocated to another site.

” A Former Federal Minister of health even flagged off the project several years ago but Market leadership tussle jinxed it but today we can smile again because the jinx is broken,” said Nweke.

Reacting to the business boom that may be experienced at Rojenny Games Village, Oba, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka (Ogilisi Igbo) said he deserved to reap benefits as one of the person who brought development to the community in 1986.

Moreover, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Central Pharmaceutical &Allied Products Wholesale Ltd, Oba, Chief Uche Ezeh said that the CWC project was in line with Federal Government Drug Distribution policy to ensure that pharmaceutical products sold to the general public were genuine, safe and of good quality.

“As partners in progress in the advancement of a healthy nation which gives birth to a wealthy nation, through the assistance of former Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano we secured 50 hectres of land for the project at Oba”, said Ezeh.

Moreso, the Chairman, Ogbogwu Market Bridgehead,Onitsha, Mr. Chukwuleta Ndubuisi said that Ogbogwu Bridgehead Traders were fully committed to see the realization of the CWC project which would remove fake drugs and substandard products in the system.

Mr Chukwuleta Ndubuisi commended the Anambra Commissioner for Health,Dr. Afam Obidike for working tirelessly in helping to make the project a reality.(MOI) I
