Nwabueze Azodo Storms Church With Thanksgiving, Praises God For Meritorious Leadership

The Chairman emeritus of Umuegwu Amawa Community in Ogbunike, Oyi LGA of Anambra State, Mr. Innocent Nwabueze Azodo recently stormed St. Vincent Catholic Church Amawa Ogbunike with his family, relations, friends and well-wishers for thanksgiving to God Almighty for his peaceful leadership as the former Chairman of his Community. 

The event which began with thanksgiving Mass was presided by a visiting priest Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Anazonwu along side Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Anyansi ” Igwe Nsugbe” 

In his homily titled “Importance Of Virtue,’, Fr. Anazonwu noted that it is imposible for anybody to practice virtues without being humble, adding that humility is the foundation of God’s kingdom which he said helps  in worshipping God.

“A virtuous person can not persecute his neighbour. It also aids in human relationship, praying to God and abstaining from sin” The cleric stated!

Speaking to newsmen shortly, the incumbent Chairman of Umuegwu Amawa Community, Comrade Chinedu Ughelu disclosed that the leadership of  his predecessor, Mr. Innocent Nwabueze Azodo was unique and impressive.

He said, “The former Chairman of our Community, Mr. Innocent Nwabueze Azodo” Ezennia” set up a high standard of leadership in our Community. What he established during his tenure was never witnessed since the history of leadership in our community. He built shopping plaza with 17 shops and 4 flats upstairs, established financial empowerment to youths, provided 7 tricycles, one for each village, 4 shuttle buses, one for each village, built Community Hall, established scholarship scheme, built roads and shops amongst other.

We are happy for him due to his tremendous achievements in our Community because other successive leaders did not perform anything. He left so many legacies in our community and has established all the things the  Community needed. As for us who took over from him, we pray God to give us the same wisdom He gave Nwabueze so that we could  perform like him otherwise, Nwabueze Azodo created a wide margins of achievements which might not be filled.    

God will help us to do more work, we will follow his foot steps. We will not disappoint our community. What we believed is forward ever, back ward never” Chinedu posited !

Similarly, the incumbent Vice Chairman, Hon. Paul Maduka Onyekwu stated that the services of Mr.Nwabueze Azodo is worthy to celebrate, describing leadership as a meritorious  services due to he served the Community excellently.

” We will try our best based on the financial strength. We promised our Community transparent in all our dealings. When Nwabueze was doing a lots of work I called him and told him that he was creating a high jump for any incoming administration not even knowing that I will succeed him. Well, we will make sure that all his legacies are properly consolidated and continue from where he stopped”  

Appreciating his guests, the celebrant and Umuegwu Amawa Community Chairman emeritus, Mr. Innocent Nwabueze Azodo ” Ezennia” noted that he was highly impressed for the successful occasion,  eulogizing all dignitaries that graced the occasion and prayed God to grant them safety journey to their respective destination.

Responding to interview, Mr. Azodo revealed that the magic behind his numerous achievements as the former Chairman of his Community was collaborative efforts from his immediate family, relations and his Executives.

A business mogul however disclosed  that he was born and grew up in his Community and observed that his Community lacked so many amenities.

” When I became the Chairman, I prayed God to give me and my Executives wisdom so that we could establish good things in our Community to enable the incoming administration to start from there. And God answered our prayers.

We built Community Hall, shopping plaza complex, a lots of shops, culverts, scholarship scheme, Youths and widows empowerment amongst other. I urged the new Executives to start where we stopped.

A renowned philanthropist noted that the significant of his thanksgiving was to let the world know that good work is good also to testify that anything God approved must be accomplished, stressing that some people after thanksgiving, they swallowed the reasons and went back home.

So, we give all glory to God. I encourage my successors to do more than what I did. I have handed over but it would not deter me to offer services to my Community hence God is blessing my business. Work has even begun because other services which I rendered was assumed that I was serving the Community.

Therefore, whatever services I rendered to them now becomes personal and i pray God to grant me more wisdom to be worshipping Him ” Ezennia declared !
