The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has approved the establishment of the Edo State College of Nursing Sciences, Benin, to commence the training of nurses and midwives in the state effective from October 2021.

The state government announced the approval in a statement by Mr Crusoe Osagie, Special Adviser on media Strategy to Gov. Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, in Benin.

It said the upgrade of the school’s facilities by the Gov. Obaseki-led state administration was in furtherance of its efforts at ending medical tourism in the state.
