NSA, Service Chiefs meet over Trump’s threat
National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu on Monday met with service chiefs in Abuja after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened military action in Nigeria over alleged Christian killings.
The meeting reviewed security implications and coordinated a national response.
Chad closed its border with Nigeria following the threat, while leaders including Peter Obi, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and Afenifere urged diplomatic engagement.
Experts warned that any U.S. intervention could worsen insecurity and hurt Nigeria’s economy.
