‎Nkiru Mokwe Assumes Duty as Supervisory Permanent Secretary, Pledges Teamwork at Women Affairs Ministry‎

‎The Supervisory Permanent Secretary of the Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Nkiru Mokwe, Esq., officially assumed duty on July 1, pledging to work closely with the ministry’s leadership and staff to advance its mandate.

‎On arrival, Mrs. Mokwe was received by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, who personally conducted her on a tour of the ministry’s offices and introduced her to members of staff.

‎Mrs. Mokwe, who also serves as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, will oversee the affairs of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare pending the appointment of a substantive Permanent Secretary.

‎In her welcome address, Hon. Onyekesi assured the Supervisory Permanent Secretary of the commitment, cooperation and dedication of the ministry’s workforce, expressing confidence that the cordial working environment would make her assignment productive and fulfilling.

‎In her remarks, Mrs. Mokwe expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded her by the commissioner and staff. She pledged to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all stakeholders to ensure the ministry delivers on its responsibilities in line with the vision of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo.

‎She described Hon. Onyekesi as a warm, pleasant and exceptional personality, noting that the reception and personal office tour reflected the commissioner’s humility and commitment to teamwork.

‎ Mrs. Mokwe added that she looked forward to fostering a strong partnership with the commissioner and members of staff in achieving the ministry’s objectives.
