NIS Orders Re-Arrest of Five Chinese Nationals in Ogun
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has directed the re-arrest of five Chinese nationals working at Royal Castle Ceramics, Ogun State, after public outrage over their sudden release despite earlier deportation orders.
The expatriates—employed on temporary work permits and business visas—were flagged for multiple immigration violations. Their earlier discharge was reportedly secured through lobbying by a retired officer.
The Interior Ministry has also launched a review of expatriate quotas and permits in manufacturing firms amid concerns over widespread abuse of immigration laws.
