Nine States Yet to Implement N70,000 Minimum Wage for Teachers
Despite the signing of the N70,000 minimum wage bill by President Tinubu in July 2024, nine states have yet to implement it for teachers, according to the National Union of Teachers.
These include Abia, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Yobe, and Zamfara. The NUT urged prompt implementation, warning delays could affect education delivery.
