A promising Nigerian soldier, who got married less than three months ago, has been killed by rampaging members of the Boko Haram sect in the northeastern part of the country.
The deceased soldier identified as John Moses from Benin in Edo state, tied the nuptial knot to his wife late last year (November) in a ceremony which was well attended by family, friends and colleagues.
This is not the first time newlywed Nigerian soldiers are being killed at the battlefield.
Last year, a soldier identified as Garba Adam, was killed by Boko Haram insurgents barely a year after his wedding and 2 months after welcoming his first child.
Friends and colleagues of John Moses have taken to social media to mourn the loss.
