A fresh attack by Boko Haram terrorists on Borno State has resulted in the death of at least 30 persons while no less than 18 vehicles were also completely burnt.

Odogwublog understands the insurgents launched the attack against travelling passengers in Auno, a town 20 kilometres from Maiduguri, Borno state capital.

2. Lai Mohammed Seeks Approval Of $500m Loan For NTA To Compete With CNN

Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) will compete favourably with the likes of Cable News Network (CNN) if the $500 million loan his ministry is seeking is approved.

The Minister was quoted by The Guardian to have said this when he appeared before the senate committee on local and foreign loans.

7. Many Boko Haram Leaders Killed By NAF Air Strike In Borno State

An airstrike by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has resulted in the killing of several Boko Haram leaders in the Sambisa area of Borno State.

The terrorists were killed at Alafa Yagayaga in the Sambisa Forest in Borno State in the operation conducted on Saturday, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information disclosed in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

The Presidency has slammed the Ango Abdullahi chaired North Elders Forum (NEF) for saying the administration of Muhammadu Buhari lacked ideas to deal with insecurity.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned the Abia state Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon against any form of attack on the group during the planned burial of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents.

The group claimed it is not moved by recent threats by the police chief to arrest IPOB members if they turn up for the burial ceremony of the late HRH Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife late Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Okwu-Kanu.
