A Nigerian, identified as Tochukwu Afame, and his Indian accomplice, Sunny Sharma, were arrested by police in Raipur, Chattisgarh, for smuggling cocaine hidden inside bl00d pressure machine boxes.

The suspects reportedly used courier services to transport the illicit drugs from Delhi to Raipur and possibly other cities, disguising the cocaine within medical equipment packaging to evade routine security checks.
According to investigators, the arrests followed earlier intelligence gathered on March 19, when a suspect was caught near a hospital in Raipur with 4.55 grams of cocaine. This led authorities to uncover a broader interstate and international drug distribution network.

Subsequent operations traced the syndicate to Delhi, where Afame also known as “Prince Charles” and Sharma were apprehended during a raid. Police say both suspects admitted involvement in the drug trafficking ring during interrogation.

Investigations further revealed that the operation is linked to handlers based in Nigeria, with a figure identified as “Chichi” allegedly coordinating activities from abroad, while local collaborators managed logistics and distribution within India.
Authorities also discovered that bank accounts were used to channel illicit proceeds, while cash, mobile phones, and other financial materials were recovered during the operation.

Police say the arrests are part of an intensified crackdown on drug trafficking networks, adding that further investigations are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate.
