Nigeria Police College Oji-River to celebrate 2026 National Police Day in a Grand Style

Nigeria Police College situated in Oji River local government Area of Enugu state commanded by AIG Emmanuel Simon Bretet psc (+) mspsp is set to celebrate the 2026 National police day in a special way .
According to a press release ,The event will kick- start on Monday 30th March 2026 at Oji-River local government area and its environs while the grand finale is scheduled for 7th April 2026 at Eagle square Abuja.
The theme of the event is “Community partnership:Building Trust’.
The press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the college ASP Omokpagha Philip reads :The Police College, Oji River, Enugu State, under the leadership of the Commandant, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Emmanuel Simon Bretet, psc (+), mspsp has announced a comprehensive lineup of activities to mark the 2026 National Police Day.
This initiative underscores the College’s sustained commitment to strengthening police-community relations, fostering public trust, and enhancing collaborative security efforts.
The programme of events will commence on Monday, March 30, 2026, across the Oji River Local Government Area. Activities will include a sanitation exercise at the Oji River Local Government Secretariat, aimed at promoting environmental responsibility, as well as a medical outreach designed to deliver essential healthcare services to members of the community.
As part of efforts to deepen engagement and encourage positive interaction, a walkathon will also be organized, providing an avenue for residents and police personnel to connect in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The week-long activities will culminate on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with a grand National Parade and tactical display at Eagle Square, Abuja, showcasing the professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Police College, Oji River, warmly invites residents, community leaders, and stakeholders to actively participate in these activities and continue to partner with the Police in promoting peace, safety, and security within the society.
