Nigeria and Canada are making progress towards launching direct flight operations as both countries intensify negotiations on a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA)

The agreement, once concluded, is expected to strengthen air connectivity, boost trade, tourism and business relations, while making travel between both countries easier for passengers. The BASA will provide the framework for airlines from Nigeria and Canada to operate scheduled flights between the two nations.
