NHIS Enrollment: Nasarawa CP urges retired officers and spouses to partake

The Commissioner of Police , Nasarawa state command ,Barrister Nola Emmanuel Longe,has encouraged both retired officer and their wives to take full advantage of the scheme and avail themselves for free enrollment.

This was made known to journalists in a press released signed and issued by the Command spokesman ASP Nansel Ramhan on Tuesday in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital.

The release was in line with the Inspector-General of Police resolve at ensuring that retired Police officers (irrespective of ranks) and their Spouses are not left out in the Force initiative of providing quality and accessible health care services through the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

The Nasarawa State Police Command in that regards wishes to inform the general Public, particularly retired Police officers that, the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed A. Adamu, NPM , mni has graciously approved the Second Phase of the enrolment exercise

“In that order,retired Police officers that were not captured in the first phase of the exercise now have the opportunity to do so.

According to the CP,the exercise will take place at various Police Area Commands in the State from Monday, March 22nd, 2021 – Thursday, March 25th, 2021.

” All retired Police officers ( each with a Spouse) who were not Captured during the first phase of the exercise, are therefore required to visit any of our Police Area Commands Close to them with their letter of Retirement and Retiree`s I.D. Card” CP longe stated.

He added that consequently, the registration and Services provided under the scheme is absolutely at no cost and without any form of deduction from retiree`s Monthly Pension.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bola Longe, psc(+) therefore enjoins all retired Police officers in the State who are yet to be Captured in the Scheme, to take advantage of the opportunity and get registered.
