Ndume: Senate Now Rubber-Stamp for Executive, No Longer Deliberative

Senator Ali Ndume has criticised the Senate for shifting from a deliberative body to a mere approving institution, offering unchecked support to the executive. Speaking on Arise TV, Ndume lamented the erosion of democratic separation of powers and said government has become “personalised and privatised.” He also described the exit of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger from ECOWAS as a diplomatic failure under President Tinubu.
